Details:Many domestic appliances offer a rich variety of interesting fluid mechanical phenomena that can serve as a source of inspiration for fundamental research. In this talk fluid mechanical aspects of several appliances, such as fruit juicers, irons, water purifiers, oral care devices and breast feeding will be discussed. Apart from these topics also an overview of the Philips organization and the role of our center in the innovation chain will be discussed.Finally there is an opportunity for a master project at our institute.
