Guidelines for Presenters

Information for oral presenters

Program
An overview of the program for the parallel sessions can be found here, and the detailed version can be found here.

Preparation
You are required to be present at your session 15 minutes before the start of your session to meet with the session chair, to connect your laptop or put your presentation on the general computer and to answer any questions that you or they may have. You will find them in each session room near the stage.

If you want to check your presentation (test run), we have a preview-room available during the entire conference. Signs will be put up to guide you to the preview room (Carré 2F). Tests will not be done prior to the beginning of a session; this time is only for connecting computers to the switcher.

You are required to bring your presentation on your own computer or on a flash drive. If you bring your presentation on a flash drive and you want to use the computer in the lecture room, your presentation should be a Powerpoint or pdf file.

Presentation
A laser pointer and a lavalier microphone will be provided.
Please remember to strictly observe and not exceed your allotted time: 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions.

Please repeat all questions after they are asked. Often the audience does not understand or hear the question and it is extremely useful for the question to be repeated.

Information for poster presenters

Preparation
Posters have to be printed by the presenters. Poster boards and pins will be provided by the organization of the conference.

The recommended size for posters is vertical A0-sized posters. The provided posters boards will be 1 meter wide and 1.25 meters high; please make sure your poster does not exceed these dimensions.

Placement
Posters will be displayed during two separate poster sessions, the first taking place on Tuesday, the second on Wednesday.
The posters numbered 1-60 will be displayed on Tuesday, numbers 61-119 on Wednesday.
Please find your poster here

Please mount your poster on the poster board assigned to you as early as possible during the day. For posters in the Tuesday session, please note that any posters remaining on the boards on Wednesday morning will be removed to make space for the Wednesday session.

A map of the exhibition area can be found here.

Poster prizes
Each poster session will be judged by a jury, with the best poster of each session being awarded a prize, which will be awarded at the closing of the conference.
