Journal Club Walking and orbiting droplets
Theo Driessen

Details:

Last year, Meneer Winkels explained in a Journal Club (Apr. 21st, 2010) how we can avoid coalescence of droplet into a bath of the same liquid by “simply” oscillating the liquid surface. Theo this time will take it from there and tell us how these bouncing droplets move and interact with others giving rise to a lot of interesting phenomena.
