Seminar Soft wetting at the nanoscale
Liz Mensink

Details:

Soft materials and their wetting properties are a growing field of interest nowadays. Soft matter draws inspiration directly from nature, where deformable and elastic materials are found to have many applications. The focus of wetting studies has classically been for hard surfaces, but the behavior for soft matter is vastly different.
In this talk I will present you how to simulate soft materials using Molecular Dynamics (MD), and how surface tensions can be acquired from these simulations. Using this knowledge, we will look further into the wetting properties of strained soft matter.
