Seminar Lattice Boltzmann simulations in microfluidics
Jens Harting

Details:

In this presentation I will present some examples on how mesoscopic simulation methods can be applied to problems in microfluidics. The problems of interest cover fundamental questions such as the origin of boundary slippage and fluid-surface interactions, detailed modelling of an experimental setup to study such interactions, as well as an example of how the lattice Boltzmann method can be used to improve micromixers as they are comonly used for lab on a chip devices.
