Seminar Research @ MCS
Han Gardeniers

Details:

Current research of the Mesoscale Chemical Systems group focuses on the following 2 themes:
"Alternative activation mechanisms for chemical process control and process intensification”; this includes topics likes microplasma and sonochemical microreactors, and microreactors with integrated work-up functionality
“Micro chemical analysis and process analytical technology”, incuding miniaturized liquid and gas chromatography, and microscale NMR.
Applications are in sustainable energy, biocatalysis and biomaterials, chemical and forensic analysis, and medical diagnostics.
In this lecture a number of topics will be high-lighted, one being the use of sunlight to split water, in order to produce hydrogen gas as a fuel.
